Medical Librarian Postition in San Diego

Optimer Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Medical Librarian who can coordinate and manage the requests for documents and references, and create and maintain industry-standards level medical scientific library. Keep accurate records of the nature and number of requests and of the budget involved. Search for, develop, organize, and evaluate ways to better manage and update the reference and documents management system. Perform systematic searches of electronic databases and other sources to support clinical practice guidelines and other evidence-based documents. Maintain and assess cost-effectiveness of the Optimer Research Library.

Good article. It's very unfortunate that over the last decade, the travel industry has had to fight terrorism, SARS, tsunamis, bird flu, swine flu, along with the first ever entire global downturn.
