CVL News:
We added a new item to the ref area this week, as an aid for people who are having some kinds of texture rezzing issues. It's a brightly colored cylindrical cushion. If you sit on it, it will clear your texture cache. That will not resolve any rezzing problems that are related to inventory (you still need to do a normal "clear cache" and rebuild to do that), but it may help if people who are finding that textures are gray or are slow to rez. Give it a try!

Ever find yourself in the scenario below? Let's discuss it!
Cognitive Load, by NICHOLAS CARR
Author, The Shallows: What the Internet Is Doing to Our Brains
"You're sprawled on the couch in your living room, watching a new episode of Justified on the tube, when you think of something you need to do in the kitchen. You get up, take ten quick steps across the carpet, and then, just as you reach the kitchen door — poof! — you realize you've already forgotten what it was you got up to do. You stand befuddled for a moment, then shrug your shoulders and head back to the couch."

Meditating through the blitz in London, she later moved to Glastonbury to continue her work. Although she wrote mostly nonfiction, she did write a few novels, very dated by today's standards, but her real fiction gem was this book of short stories. Join Rosslyn to hear one of these great stories in open voice.
